American musician, lyricist, and vocalist Scott Weiland is perhaps best known as the frontman for rock band Stone Temple Pilots as well as supergroup Velvet Revolver. As a solo artist, he has released three studio albums, one cover album, and collaborated with musicians such as Daniel Lanois, Sheryl Crow, Brad Mehldau, and Jeff Nolan. Weiland's vocal style has diversified and traversed several genres throughout his career--ranging from the deep, baritone style to raspy trip-hop.
